This retro kimono features patterns that were typical during the 1960s, though the lining is significantly newer. Either the kimono was made brand new in the 1990s or it was refashioned after taking apart the original kimono. It used to be fairly common to remake kimonos after going through a thorough cleaning and repairing process, but as kimonos have fallen out of daily and formal fashion, people largely stopped having them remade.
